“Karma Ganzler (photography) & Doug Rathbun (recycled metal sculpture)”

“Doug’s sculptures push the boundaries of realism and frequently evoke forms that might be found in science fiction or in dreams–spiders, mosquitoes, creatures from outer or, in some way, one might say, inner space,” said Maria Phillips of Avenue 9 Gallery.

About his own work Rathbun writes, “My sculptures often start as just a shape in my mind; a thing that I give definition to, slowly allowing it to claim its form.

4th Annual Crawdad Festival – Bigger and Better!

Red Bluff, CA (May 13, 2013): The Red Bluff Chamber of Commerce is putting on a party Mardi Gras style at the 4th Annual Crawdad Festival.  The Tehama District Fairgrounds transforms into a wonderland of Cajun food, music and fun June 7th, 8th and 9th.
Why is it bigger and better? The RWild Horse Ranch approached the Red Bluff Chamber to take over
the operation of the growing Red Bluff Crawdad Festival. So, the Chamber Board has taken over and is building on this great event. There will be more vendors, music, crawdads and more activities for kids and families to participate in this year.
The Chamber is looking for vendors (contact Jessie Woods at the Gold Exchange 528-8000), volunteers
and Sponsors for this year’s event slated for June 7th, 8th, and 9th at the Tehama District Fairgrounds. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in your community and have a great time. Friday is Family Night (5pm  to 9:00 pm) and has discounted tickets, followed by two more full days (Saturday 10 to 9 pm and Sunday 10 to 6 pm)  of crawdad eating contests, special Zydeco music, a car show
on Sunday and lots of great Cajun Fun all three days! A special “Local Talent Spotlight” stage will be at
the Festival this year to display local bands!.
