Chico Museum and Leon Bistro will present “Reverie: Interpretations of Nature by Dennis Leon”. The natural landscape is the subject and reference point for the work of renowned artist Dennis Leon. Exploring the English moors of Yorkshire where he spent his childhood helped to shape and develop his interest in and sensitivity to the landscape. In 1972 he set up his studio in Oakland and served as Chair of the Sculpture Department at the California College of the Arts until 1988 after which he continued as Professor until his retirement.
Presented as a fundraiser for the Chico Museum, attendees will enjoy Petite Desserts and Bubbly prepared by Chico’s best chef and daughter of the renowned artist, Ann Leon. Also planned is a short presentation by an art patron about the works of Mr. Leon, and music. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase for $35 beginning the second week of January. This will be a special event, and the perfect way to celebrate Valentines Day!
