Project Learning Tree Educator Workshop for High School Teachers

On October 4th we will meet at Rancho Esquon.  There we will learn from the staff naturalist about how the ranch is managed for agriculture and conservation followed by an introduction to the PLT Places We Live unit as well as relatedEEI units. Middle School teachers are also encouraged to attend this training.

On October 25th we will meet at the Lake Oroville Visitor Center.  There a staff person from the Department of Water Resources will teach us about the State Water Project and the role of Lake Oroville in that system followed by an introduction to the PLT Biodiversity unit as well as related EEI units.

On November 15th we will meet at the Chico Creek Nature Center where a local expert will give us an introduction to the historical forestry station that was located at the site followed by in introduction to the PLT Focus on Forests unit as well as related EEI units.

Participants will receive a PLT unit and access to EEI units at each training. Participants who attend all three trainings willqualify for CEU’s through CSU San Marcos.  Coffee and snacks will be provided.
