Bolt Museum docent Ron MacInnes will present a new talk and two short films
that he produced about WWII and Vietnam. The first film presents a true story
of a teenage Polish Holocaust survivor and POW he met while doing volunteer
work for a veterans group. The second film, “Never forget our names” tells of
Ron’s own journey to the Wall to see names of two men he served with in
Vietnam. Ron’s neighbor, James, was instrumental in creating the Oroville War
Memorial. Ron showed him the June 1968 issue of Life magazine featuring
photos of 250+ American servicemen killed that week and James knew one of
the young Marines from Oroville and his wife knew a boy on the following page.
